Nearly 5,200 new infections in Austria

From Thursday to Friday, 5,188 new infections were registered in Austria. The number is below the 7-day average of 4,941 infections. The 7-day incidence drops to 388.57.

This brings the number of active Corona cases to 69,441. In the past 24 hours, only 54,448 new PCR tests were made. This results in a positive rate of 9.53 percent.

In addition, there are six new deaths. Thus, 19,390 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died so far across Austria.

The hospital is currently treating 1,085 patients, down 41 from Thursday. In intensive care units, 80 patients are treated, three fewer than the previous day.
